OUR HISTORY
Aliénor Certification is part of a group whose parent company is CRITT SPORT LOISIRS, a non-profit association under the French law of 1901.
Originally, in 1988, the CRITT SPORT LOISIRS was created by the public authorities and university research in order to develop new industrial activities by participating in the creation of innovative products. The aim was to act as an interface between research, companies and public institutions.
Established since 1996 in Châtellerault, France, CRITT SPORT LOISIRS has never stopped evolving and with its numerous ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratories, CRITT SPORT LOISIRS has naturally become a European notified body under the 89/686/CE directive on personal protective equipment.
In 2016, following the repeal of this directive in favor of the new EU regulation 2016/425, the European rules for becoming a notified body have evolved. The obligation to be accredited to the ISO/CEI 17065:2012 standard incompatible with the consulting activities of CRITT SPORT LOISIRS thus forced it to separate from its certification branch and to create its first subsidiary ALIENOR CERTIFICATION which became a notified body under the EU 2016/425 regulation on personal protective equipment.
